ABOUT THE HUNT
10 DAY TRIP 1 HUNTER WITH BROWN BEAR INCLUDED.
( OBSERVERS WELCOME WITH OBSERVER FEE )
EASY TRIP • GUIDED
RIFLE HUNTING • STALKING
This trip offers streams packed with thousands of pink salmon, while you and your guide, with rifles ready, ease along bear trails, spotting coastal brown bears as they feed in and out of the salmon packed waters.
Shots average 30-40 yds. so you'll want the finest bonded bullets and a caliber of .300 mag and up.
Really good optics are vital, as is a good head lamp.
You'll be working your way up a stream in waist or chest waders with good wading shoes that can deal with slick stones and logs.
This is a world class trip on Admiralty Island which supports some of the highest brown bear densities in Alaska. Your Master Guide has been guiding for brown bear for thirty years.
This is a trip full of electricity; seagulls screaming, salmon splashing, and in the deep coniferous woods - many many bears!
• Average browns go 8 1/2', with large ones going to 9 1/2', Our largest taken being 10.
• SUCCESS RATE: This hunt has a 80 percent success. Failure is usually due to the client not being in shape to go up salmon streams. Occasionally a day is lost to heavy rain and the streams swelling so that animals stop fishing.

CANCELLATION:
If a trip is cancelled before the 90 day period a 10% fee is charged. If the hunt is resold the remaining 40% is returned. If we need to reduce the price of the trip to move it, we use as much of that 40% as is needed to resell the trip. If there is any remaining of the 40% we return that portion. If a trip is cancelled within the 90 day period we retain 50% and try to resell the trip. If we can we return the remaining 50% we do. If we need to use a portion of remaining deposit to resell the trip as “discounted” we do so. If no hunter may be found within the 90 day prior period we may opt. to keep 100%, although thus far all trips like this have been sold as discounted.
