As the land awakens to the warmth of spring, the "Coastal Giants" are awakening out of their six months of slumber.
From the warm comfort of our large boat, as your base camp, you can observe it all first hand.
Using 16' skiffs, powered by quiet four stroke Yamaha outboards, we will move along the inter tidal zone, glassing over many bears.
These spring bears are coming to the beach to look for a mate and to begin eating again on the first emerging sedge and grass.
You'll need ankle fit hip boots and a good raincoat. The days are long and warm now, so you'll just need light long johns for the cool of evening.
This is a fairly easy hunt with a lot of glassing. We will plan on meals that include pan-fried rib eye steaks and local caught shrimp and salmon. When you tag out we'll make Swiss steak from your bears back strap!
All in all, Todd said it best on his brown hunt, " I just don't want to go home." And maybe you won't want to either!
For your rifle, I recommend heavy bonded bullets and something of .300 magnum or larger. Shooting sticks also help when everything comes together.
• Our boars are a little darker than average and average 8 1/2', it is common to get a big guy to 9 1/2', and our largest go 10'.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:
Deposit: 50% based on trip price
Deposit deadline: 1 day after booking
Final payment: 90 days Before hunt

WOUNDING:
A wounded brown or black bear is the hunters animal per Alaska state law. Other wounded big game is fulfillment of the trip and may be subject to a trophy fee, depending on circumstances.
CANCELLATION:
If a trip is cancelled before the 90 day period a 10% fee is charged. If the hunt is resold the remaining 40% is returned. If we need to reduce the price of the trip to move it, we use as much of that 40% as is needed to resell the trip. If there is any remaining of the 40% we return that portion. If a trip is cancelled within the 90 day period we retain 50% and try to resell the trip. If we can we return the remaining 50% we do. If we need to use a portion of remaining deposit to resell the trip as “discounted” we do so. If no hunter may be found within the 90 day prior period we may opt. to keep 100%, although thus far all trips like this have been sold as discounted.
